Sporting Club Thamesmead - Construction

May 2009 - December 2010

Construction work began on site on Monday 11 May 2009.

The construction of the new facilities have been taking place around the pitch during 2009/10 season, where the existing clubhouse has remain. This meticuous planning has allowed Thamesmead Town Football Club to fulfill all of their home fixtures at Bayliss Avenue during the season as the work progresses. The photos below are from the beggining of construction taken on July 1st 2009.

In the 2009 close season the following work was carried out in preparation for construction:

- Exsisting seated stand moved to behind goal; -A new path on all four sides;-New hand rails, surrounding the pitch;- Flootlights re-installed in new positions;- New solid fence surrounding the ground.

May 2010 update

Building has currently reached the roof level, where the steel and concreate structure can now be seen above the building site boards.

Work will continue apace over close season, where the intera will be built, before fitting out towards the end of the year.

Construction is currently due to be complete by December 2010.
